The Honors Seminar course aims to strengthen Academic excellence at SIUT and challenge exceptional students in order to cultivate the University's values of Humanity, Free-thinking, and Honor. The 1 hour seminar is integrated with Academic English 2. It focuses on critical thinking skills through analytical reading of thought-provoking English medium books. The course is designed in a seminar format, requiring a high level of student engagement and leadership. The course intensifies student development of key human skills such as problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and critical thinking. Students must lead discussions, present an analytical book report, and integrate their readings with writing tasks. The course focuses on exploring the topic of success, its varied definition, and the application of these ideas to the students' own future and ambitions.
